Gleneden Farm is approx. 1.5hrs south-west of Brisbane, just off the Cunningham Hwy heading towards Warwick. Our address is 375 North Branch Road, Maryvale Queensland. You can find us on Google maps by searching for ‘Gleneden Farm and Bullock Team’.
Our farm is a member of and inspected by Certified Naturally Farmed Granite Belt. CNF Granite Belt has adopted the Australian Organic Standard for inputs and practices and our farm has been inspected against these practices by fellow organic farmers, an independent auditor and our customers once a year. A copy of the standard we follow can be found here. CNFGB is also a supportive network of organic farmers with a wealth of practical knowledge which is shared at regular meetings. Certified Naturally Farmed (CNF) is an example of an internationally recognised Participatory Guarantee System (PGS). For a definition and more information on PGS’s please visit the IFOAM Organics International website at https://www.ifoam.bio/.
However, our meat is processed at a small local abattoir and butcher that are non-certified. We are in the process of building and registering our own processing facility which will be inspected against the organic standard in the near future. In the meantime we use small, family-owned local processors which use minimal inputs, rather than travel to a large certified organic processor (4hr round trip). If you would like more information on our local processors please email us.

At Gleneden, we believe that being organic, ethical, regenerative and holistic in our farming is a way of life. It is not purely a business, political or marketing decision. For that reason we sell direct to our customers and have our gates open for customers to see how their food is produced at any time of year they choose.
We produce naturally farmed pastured pork, 100% pasture-fed beef & lamb, seasonal fruits and vegetables and natural soaps. Our Farm Shop also stocks other ethical local produce (honey, jam etc) and crafts. Please visit our Produce page for more information.
PROOF (Pasture Raised On Open Fields) defines pastured as:
‘All livestock are raised outdoors with continuous and unrestricted daytime access to paddocks that are suitable for grazing and are provided with shade and shelter. All animals must use the paddocks each day unless; they choose to shelter because of inclement weather, short term confinement for veterinary treatment or when giving birth. Feed supplements are available to ensure all their nutritional needs are met. Animals are kept at a stocking intensity that will ensure forage is always available in an actively managed rotational grazing system.”
What’s pasture? Pasture is a mix (not a monoculture) of groundcover plants including grasses, herbs and forbs growing in the soil. At Gleneden ALL our animals are pastured and moved regularly (along with their shelters) to fresh pasture as needed. Need proof? Come and visit to see for yourself! Gleneden offers camping as well as self guided or guided Farm Tours. Gleneden CSA members are also entitled to free camping and seasonal farm tours so they can see for themselves exactly what’s going on the farm over the year.
We sell all our produce direct from our farm gate to our customers. You can buy our produce either by the cut at our Farm Shop or through our Gleneden Family CSA membership.
