Farm Camping

Why not escape the crowds and have a taste of the good life? Our farm is a beautiful and idyllic place nestled in the mountains just 1.5hrs from Brisbane and we are happy to share our space with those keen to relax and appreciate the beauty of nature. With only seven private campsites you can relax without the crowds, watch the cows, sheep, pigs and cattle graze contentedly in the paddocks, swim in a clear cool mountain creek, go bush-walking, help us out on the farm milking or feeding the animals or you can simply relax with a good book. A range of Gleneden Farm produce, gifts and firewood is available at the Farm Shop. Scroll down to seem more info about each site.

For your safety and the health of our land we have a no 4WDing (except to get to your site), fishing, or firewood collection policy. We ask all guests to follow the Principles of ‘Tread Lightly’ Camping and keep noise to a minimum… so that everyone can be thinking, ‘Ah the serenity!’.

'Tread Lightly' Camping Principles

Below are a few tips to help you tread lightly on our farm so we can all enjoy our beautiful landscape into the future. More information on the T.R.E.A.D. Lightly principles can be found here:

Travel Responsibly
Drive only on the designated track to your campsite. Walk or cycle around the farm instead of driving.

Respect the rights of others
Respect the rights, privacy and property of landowners, other guests and campers. Supervise children and pets at all times. Leave gates, property, farm animals and crops as you find them. We rely on these for our livelihood.

Educate yourself & be safe
Plan for your trip. Check for any legal regulations (e.g. fire bans, health warnings). Bring relevant safety gear, first aid and emergency numbers. Farms can be hazardous. Be aware of and avoid hazardous situations (e.g. snakes, steep areas, deep water, farm machinery and equipment).

Care for the landscape
Take care not to harm the soil, plants and animals on our farm. They keep the farm beautiful. Leave everything where you find it.

Do your Part
Check your campsite when you leave and take all your rubbish with you. Bring, or buy firewood. Keep soaps and detergents away from the waterway.
